to us!
10 years ago today, well almost today since it's barely midnight now...
I married my best friend and love of my life.
It's been an amazing decade....
I've learned a lot about myself and how to love someone else.
I learned that if on day one he doesn't pick up his socks he won't do it 3,650 days later either.
I learned that I didn't love him as much as I thought I did on our wedding day, because with every year I love him more.
I learned that his heartbeat is my favorite lullaby.
I learned that seeing him fall in love with his newborn children was one of the most powerful feelings I've ever known.
I learned that no matter how old I get, sometimes I still just need to talk to my mom and dad.
I learned to hug those around us when we get the chance, dance with them now, because so many can be lost in just 10 years.
I learned that children can't fix any situation for others but they add a rich flavor to our lives that would be sadly missing without them.
I learned that you can't keep a turtle on a leash.
I learned that I am stronger and braver and funnier and smarter then I would have ever imagined.
I learned that I am enough.
and most importantly I learned that he is the love of my life and he is my best friend.... that at the end of the even the worst day we have one another and that there is no substitute for that.
:)
Don't worry.... pictures will follow soon. My mom is actually going to be taking our family portrait when it's actually morning. We don't have one with all of us in the photograph at the same time, so mom to the rescue!
I'm pretty sure I'll accidently do something that will mess it up but even though I'm one of the most unphotogenic, horribly unphotogenic, people I know, I am not boring, so that should count for something.
And there's always photoshop... now I just have to find a nice photograph of selma hayek or penelope cruz to swap heads with.. hmm..
;)
hehe..
goodnight, and good morning!
love,
Megzy
